Martin arrived in Canada from Amsterdam in 1970. He is an expert furrier and runs an exclusive boutique in London. Martin is a multi-talented man of action, who loves life and excels in a variety of endeavours. He is a superb organiser and  promoter, a soccer  referee, and a proud father and grandfather. He is a founding member of the band  and looks after   providing uniforms and   booking performances.

Julie is from  Rypwetering, Holland and  came to Can-ada in 1952, Together  with Case, her  husband,  raised a family  in Caradoc Township. Julie is a founding member and sole female musician in the  band.  Whether it  be  in playing her cymbals and maracas, in keeping track of income and expenditures or in ensuring that the bus cooler is always filled, Julie never misses a beat.

Originally from Eindhoven, Gerry has lived in Canada for fifty years. A veteran band member, he is the key person responsible for arranging overseas tours and other special band activities. In addition to providing a steady beat, Gerry announces Soup Time as frequently as possible.  Although he is  burdened with the nickname Grumpy,  beneath the gruff  exterior lurks a heart of gold and a large appetite for good times, friends, beer and herring.

Bass Drum

Dirk (aka Dick)  came to Canada from Groningen in 1981. He is the dynamic Soup Pot player, and  spark plug for  the band. He likes to get the crowd moving and involved. He also fills in on cymbals and bass drum. He was a Childrens Services foster parent  for 18 years.  He is keenly interested in starting a business and is looking forward to being self-employed. He is especially fond of Indonesian and other Asian foods - the spicier the better!
